What matters now

  • The price sits above even our optimistic bull case ($9.17). The favourable scenario is already priced in.
  • Weak quality (22/100) and above fair value at the same time, the margin of safety is missing on both counts.
  • A fairly wide model range ($4.11 to $9.17) leaves room in how you read the outcome.
  • Evidence is limited here (fewer models, shorter history), so the fair value is a rougher estimate than usual.

Analysis

Nuscale Power Corp (SMR) currently trades at $9.75, while our model-based Fair Value estimate is $6.99, implying the stock looks roughly 39.5% overvalued today. The Quality Score stands at 22/100 (below-average quality), in the Industrials sector. Bull case: the Dividend Discount group reads highest at a median of $10.25 per share, and 2 of the 3 models we run sit above the $9.75 price. Bear case: the Asset-Based group reads lowest at $2.26, and 1 of the 3 models stay below the price. Evidence for this calculation is low.

Trailing-twelve-month revenue stands at $18.7M. It earns a return on equity of −83.1%. The balance sheet holds a net cash position of $836M. Fundamentals as of Sep 5, 2026

Our scenario range runs from $4.11 (bear case) to $9.17 (bull case); at $9.75, the current price sits above that range. Bear and bull are the same models run on conservative and optimistic assumptions (margins, growth, valuation multiples), so a plausible valuation range, not a price target. For context, the median of 10 Industrials peers we cover trades at −52% fair-value upside, at −28%, SMR screens cheaper than that median.

Fair Value models

Each model estimates fair value its own way; the Fair Value above is the evidence-weighted, family-balanced blend. Evidence (0–100) measures how completely this model’s inputs are available: well-fed models carry more weight in the blend. The spread across models is intentional, each one stresses a different value driver; dividend models, for instance, come out structurally low when payout is small. Every input is real reported data, nothing guessed.

Model Bear Bear = the cautious scenario: the same model computed with conservative anchors (lower growth, margins and valuation multiples). Together with Bull it frames a plausible valuation range, not a price target.BaseBull Bull = the optimistic scenario: the same model computed with favourable anchors (higher growth, margins and valuation multiples). Together with Bear it frames a plausible valuation range, not a price target. Evidence
