Lesson eight: the watchlist. This is where the tool starts working for you instead of the other way round.

On any stock, tap 'Watch'. The star in the header shows how many you have. Up to seven are free, saved in your browser; with an account they follow you to your phone.

Each card shows price, fair value, upside, quality and your entry price. The badge on the right says 'on track' or 'review'. Review means something changed: the price crossed the fair value, or the long-term trend broke.

The Diversification tab grades how your holdings are spread across sectors, countries and company sizes, and names the one stock to swap if you are too concentrated.

With Pro, the watchlist is unlimited and watches for you: an e-mail the moment a holding is flagged for review, plus a weekly letter on your stocks.

If you already hold a portfolio, the next lesson saves you the typing: a photo of your broker screen is enough.
